I came across this post/video of an Indigenous 12 year old girl, Autumn Peltier, an Anishinaabe girl from Wikwemikong First Nation, begging to have clean drinking water in her community without having to fight for it. I was very moved by it. Though the request from the child for us to come together is in the past, it is still a very relevant message. We really need to do better. We really need to find new ways of growing wealth without harming our environment. When we harm the environment, we harm ourselves and all inhabitants of our Eco-System. We harm our future generations.
