The third edition of EnvironFocus Show and Tell took place on September 10, 2016 at the Holiday Inn Express & Suite Mississauga, 40 Admiral Blvd, Mississauga, Ontario from 12 – 6pm. It was a successful event. It was a free, one of a kind, multicultural event. The event was very enlightening and entertaining as promised.
There was heartfelt, thought provoking Spoken Word Poetry by International Poet – Juliet ‘Kego Ume – Onyido and a very informative presentation by Emmanuel Ogunjobi from Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. There were also vendor presentations including presentations from the Interact club from Morning Star Middle School in Mississauga. The Interact club presented 3 green structural ideas that they had conceptualized and blew everyone away with their innovation and intelligence.

There was plenty of time to network, learn, buy and eat and win lots of prizes including free advanced screening passes to watch the movie – Deepwater Horizon, a true story about the BP oil spill of 2010 starring Academy Award nominated actors Mark Wahlberg and Kate Hudson. Other items won included signed movie posters – Courtesy of Elevation Pictures and TARO PR. Every attendee left the event with a giveaway. The BP oil spill and the relevance of oil rigs in our communities were discussed. Winners of the movie passes will share their thoughts on our social media pages after viewing the movie September 28, 2016.
