The IBWU (It Begins With U) Foundation is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in Canada founded by people of like minds across North America, Europe & Africa who are brought together by a passionate and shared desire to bring about positive changes in our communities. Their mission and values are inspired by simple acts of charity and by working in partnerships with communities as participants and encouraging social and community responsibility, beginning with each individual. They are on a mission to change the mindset and orientation of communities to realize and take responsibility for social change and community development. They envision communities where the people are the catalysts for positive change that impacts, influences and motivates the future generation.

IBWU Foundation currently partnered with C-BIGS and EnvironFocus to host a successful Water, Sanitation and Hygiene awareness workshop in Takalafiya, a community in Bassan Juwa, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in Nigeria. The population of the Takalafiya community is 500 people, with about 106 households.

The event took place on February 22, 2020. More information on that event will be coming soon. The Takalafiya community lacks access to clean water and IBWU Foundation has promised to drill a water borehole for the community. The IBWU Foundation is on a journey towards building more robust, vibrant communities. For more information on IBWU Foundation, visit www.ibwu.org.
